Elizabeth Carter Trotman, President & CEO
Elizabeth Carter Trotman is the President and CEO of One Catalyst Consulting, a firm focused on leadership development, workforce advancement, and economic mobility. Guided by a commitment to excellence and impact, Elizabeth leads the design and execution of programs that empower individuals, strengthen organizations and uplift communities. With more than 25 years of experience in the philanthropic sector, she has spearheaded pivotal efforts for organizations including United Way of Central Ohio, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Charlotte Family Housing, The Charlotte Resilience Project, Novant Health, and Foundation For The Carolinas, and serves as the founding Executive Director of the African American Leadership Academy of Charlotte.
Focused on innovation and outcomes, Elizabeth has led numerous civic and citywide efforts addressing education, healthcare, homelessness, mental health and resilience, entrepreneurship, corporate volunteerism, place-based neighborhood development, African American leadership and community voice. A master facilitator and communicator, she is known for moderating meaningful conversations that spark insight and inspire action. As a strengths-focused trainer and coach, she delivers professional and leadership development experiences for corporations and nonprofit organizations that equip individuals to excel and thrive.
Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s degree in communication (public relations) from Otterbein University and a Master of Public Administration and Leadership from The Ohio State University. She is an American Leadership Forum Fellow and graduate of Project Diversity. Deeply committed to community, she currently serves on the McCrorey YMCA Board and has previously served on the boards of the Girl Talk Foundation and UNC Charlotte’s Women + Girls Research Alliance. In addition to leading One Catalyst Consulting and the Academy, she is the owner of Polished 31, a personal development firm for women and girls. She resides in Charlotte, North Carolina.
